A relay run across the length and breadth of America, which is dedicated to the cause of world peace and harmony, passed through La Jolla on June 6, making a stop at the Integral Elementary School.

Runners in the 50-state USA World Harmony Run carried a flaming torch to symbolize their goal of world peace and harmony through sports. The relay is intended to inspire others to work for a more harmonious world.

The children at the school made a presentation to the runners, thanking them for their efforts. They sang songs and did a small yoga presentation.

The runners visit schools, community groups, running clubs, and local and national government organizations. Nine-time Olympic Gold Medallist, Carl Lewis, is the World Harmony Run spokesman.
