Woman assaulted on UCSD campus

UCSD Police are investigating an assault of a woman in her 60s, about 4 p.m. Wednesday, as she was walking southwest of the intersection of Gilman Drive and Villa La Jolla Drive on the south side of the main campus.The woman received minor injuries, including scratches in a scuffle, after she was grabbed from behind by a Caucasian man estimated to be in his late-40s to early-50s.
The assailant had medium-length brown hair, brown eyes and brown beard and mustache. He was last seen wearing a white or tan polo shirt and blue jeans. He may have scratches on his face.
