Village water outages set for March 28

There will be a water outage on Sunday, March 28 at two street sections in La Jolla, 700 to 800 Pearl St. and 800 to 900 Kline Street as well as 7700 Fay Ave., from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m.

The contract being done by the city Water Department involves a water system upgrade. There will be construction noise in the affected areas.

“We’re going to be replacing 16-inch pipeline and 12-inch connections doing trenching at the intersections of Pearl and Kline streets and Kline Street and Fay Avenue,” said Fred Porter, city water system technician.

Customers affected by the water shutdown will be provided with three-day advance notification.
