Vandals hit cars in La Jolla

Five car vandalisms occurred in the La Jolla area between 6 a.m. May 9 and 11 p.m. May 10, said Monica Munoz, San Diego Police Department spokeswoman.

Incidents reported were: a rock thrown through the back window of a parked car in the 5800 block of Bellevue Avenue in Bird Rock; vandalism to a car parked in the 2200 block of Vallecitos in La Jolla Shores; broken tail lights and flat tires in the 8500 block of Prestwick Drive in La Jolla Shores; a smashed car windshield in the 7300 block of Eads Ave. in La Jolla’s downtown Village; and broken windows and slashed tires on a car parked in the 1800 block of Caminito Velez in the Mount Soledad area.

“We don’t know that these incidents that were reported to us were related,” Munoz said.
