University offers summer program for senior learners
The University of the Third Age at the University of San Diego has lectures, workshops and programs on current affairs, the arts, technology and health for lifelong learners, ages 55 and older.
The summer session runs July 12-29, Monday-Thursday mornings.
Programs include workshops on new summer books; biomimicry (an emerging discipline that studies nature’s best ideas and then imitates these designs to solve world problems); human trafficking; tai chi exercise; and beginning computer skills.
The cost is $150 per person and includes speaker series, workshops and a reception.
