University City garage fire reported

A vehicle caught fire in the parking garage of a four-story apartment building in University City on Wednesday, but no one was hurt, a dispatcher said.

The fire at 3425 Lebon Drive, near Nobel Drive, was reported at 5:16 a.m., Wednesday according to a San Diego fire-rescue dispatcher. Crews declared a knockdown at 5:46 a.m., he said.

The cause of the fire was under investigation.

No apartments were affected by the fire, which appeared to have been contained to the garage, the dispatcher said.
