The public is invited to two upcoming events sponsored by Toastmasters of La Jolla. Both will be held at La Jolla Cove.
The first is Sunday, Aug. 3 and the second is Sunday, Aug. 31. Both events are from noon to 5 p.m.
Attendees can chat with members of the local Toastmasters group in a casual setting.
Their white canopy will be set up (signs will be posted at the canopy). Refreshments will be provided.
The Cove of La Jolla also features live entertainment from 2 to 4 p.m. at the Cove on Aug. 3 featuring The Corvettes. At Toastmasters’ beach party on Aug. 31, the band The Heroes will perform.
The mission of the Toastmasters organization is to provide a mutually supportive positive learning environment in which every member has the opportunity to develop communication and leadership skills, which in turn foster self-confidence and personal growth.
The La Jolla Toastmasters meet on Tuesdays at the La Jolla YMCA Firehouse, 7877 Herschel Ave., from 6:30 to 8:15 p.m.
