Swim and Paddlefest postponed

Organizers have indefinitely postponed the planned Litchfield Swim and Paddlefest that had been set for Saturday.

Details about the reasons for the postponement were not available.

The event, sponsored by the La Jolla Sunrise Rotary, was to benefit San Pasqual Academy, the nation’s only residential school for foster teens.

Named after long time La Jolla resident and swimmer Bob Litchfiled, it was to be based at La Jolla Shores, but contestants were to have been transported to La Jolla Cove for the start.
