Surf report: March 1, 2007
Thursday should see the last of the Gulf swell duo with surf expected to run head-high at most westfacing breaks for the very early AM sessions. Size will be diminishing throughout the day with size only waist-high or so by nightfall.
Friday should be a much smaller day with surf dropping dramatically to knee to waist. Winds are expected to turn somewhat northerly - a transition day to what appears to be an offshore event this weekend.
Saturday and Sunday look even smaller: ankle-high by the looks of things today.
Monday is looking weak and small, but models feel an ever-so-slight swath of southern hemi SW will help south-facing breaks get above the ankle-high range for some knee-high sets at times. Still, it’s looking like a “bring your biggest board to the beach” day.
Tuesday we should see an increase in NW swell, but at this point, we’re not getting too excited about this next swell.
