Surf contest sign-ups start

Applications for the La Jolla Surfing Association’s Menehune Surf Contest are now available on the group’s Web site. The annual event is set for April 17 at La Jolla Shores.

The group is seeking volunteers as well as entries for the Youth Art Contest.

The contest winner’s art is featured on event T-shirts, and entries will be exhibited at the La Jolla Riford Library in April.
