‘Surf Angel’ visits Bird Rock Elementary students

The students at Bird Rock Elementary were treated Friday to a book reading by local authors Terry and Heather Kraszewski. The authors were invited to read their book, “Surf Angel,” recently named a finalist in the picture book category of the San Diego Book Awards. Dressed in her magical “Surf Angel” gown, Heather read the book as the children listened and looked at the beautiful illustrations. Terry and her assistant, Mina Lally, helped out by holding up the book in order for the children in the back to have a closer look.

After the reading, the pair answered questions from the students and signed copies of their book. The students were delighted as a final treat to be sprinkled with “Surf Angel” sparkles.
