Superintendent hearings set
Anyone interested in the process of finding a new superintendent for the San Diego Unified School District has a chance to be heard in a series of town hall meetings that continues next week.
Two have been held, with three more planned, so parents, employees, students and the public can share their ideas on what qualities they want in a new schools chief. School board members have said that they hope to hire someone by July to replace Terry Grier, who resigned in September to take a post in Houston. Bill Kowba, the interim superintendent, has been encouraged to apply for the San Diego job by members of the La Jolla School Cluster Association.
The meetings are set for
- April 21, at Sherman Elementary, 301 22nd St. (92102)
- April 22, at Pacific Beach Middle, 4676 Ingraham St. (92109)
- April 28, at de Portola Middle, 11010 Clairemont Mesa Blvd. (92124)
