Super Bowl hero McConkey sells 3BD

Former NFL wide receiver Phil McConkey and his wife, Erin, sold a three-bedroom, four-bath at 1599 Coast Walk in La Jolla for $2.85 million to the Rushfeldt Trust on May 27.

The McConkeys previously paid $2.345 million for the property in January 2005. The 2,990-square-foot home was built in 2001.

McConkey played wide receiver for the National Football League’s New York Giants, Green Bay Packers, Phoenix Cardinals and San Diego Chargers in the late 1980s.

In his days after football he’s worked as a partner in an institutional equity block trading firm in Greenwich, Conn.
