Students give dog days of finals new meaning

In the dog days of finals, UCSD students got to pet friendly pups on Library Walk, courtesy of the campus’ Student Wellness initiative. Studies show that petting a dog lowers stress levels. Hundreds of students played with some 40 certified therapy dogs including golden retrievers, black and golden labs as well as boxers, among other species, in the canines’ very own petting palace. “Therapy Fluffies” was sponsored by Student Wellness, a collaborative campus initiative which promotes student wellbeing and encourages balanced lifestyles with a holistic, preventive approach across multiple disciplines.
