Students cook up funds to help Haitians

When conversation during school recess and lunchtime is normally reserved for small talk, three Stella Maris Academy fifth-graders focused their attention on the people of Haiti. That conversation turned into action for Camilla Zanetti, Hamilton Allport and Kristina Vu, who organized a bake sale, raising $518.86. Camilla added $70 of donations she received for her birthday — she asked for donations instead of gifts.
