Strong winds expected inland on Wednesday

Strong gusty winds and low humidity will pose an increased risk of wildfire in the mountains of San Diego County Wednesday, forecasters said.The National Weather Service declared a fire weather watch from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. Wednesday.
East winds of 15 to 25 mph, with gusts of 60 mph, were likely in the local mountains, the Weather Service warned.
Elsewhere, a high wind warning — denoting a forecast of sustained wind speeds of 40 miles per hour, with gusts of 58 mph or greater — will be in effect from 5 a.m. to 7 p.m. Wednesday in the Santa Ana Mountains, which jut into northern San Diego County.
