Storage center aids troops

San Diego Self Storage (SDSS) is participating in Operation Caregiver by serving as a relief kit assembly location and donating a storage unit at the Sorrento Mesa facility before distributing to military troops overseas. The kits include letters of encouragement, homemade or store-bought cookies in crush-proof boxes, powdered drink mixes, hard candy, Gold Bond dusting powder, shaving gel, razors, toothpaste, toothbrushes, dental floss packs, sunblock and Chapstick.

Operation Caregiver is a nationwide program operated under the Victory Fund of the Nice Guys nonprofit organization that provides relief to troops stationed in remote locations living under primitive conditions.
