Share

Garret Stanwick has been named director for La Jolla Lacrosse and will be responsible for promoting lacrosse in all levels in the community.

He will be the new coach, along with Matt Rosenberg, for the 2009-10 La Jolla High School coaching staff. He’ll also develop and work with the middle school and youth programs focusing on establishing and accomplishing goals for each level, accomplished through proper and intelligent lacrosse instruction.

Coaching strategies will be geared towards team concepts and fundamentals, but character development, positive attitudes and work ethics will be emphasized, according to Glenn Bourgeoise, president of the La Jolla Lacrosse Foundation.

Stanwick was a member of two national championship teams while attending John Hopkins and spent last year as assistant coach for the La Jolla High varsity lacrosse team.
