Skateboarder hit by car in PB
A skateboarder was recovering Monday from the injuries he suffered after being struck by a hit-and-run driver.
The accident occurred about 3 a.m. Sunday, at the intersection of Olney
Street and Grand Avenue in Pacific Beach, said San Diego police Sgt. R.
Hastings.
The 22-year-old skateboarder was traveling south on Olney Street when he
entered the intersection on a red light and was struck by a vehicle heading west on Grand Avenue, said Hastings.
The unidentified victim suffered a large laceration to the head and a
broken leg, Hastings said.
Police were searching for the motorist who was wanted on a felony hit-
and-run charge, said Hastings.
A description of the suspect vehicle was not currently available.
