Registration closes Sept. 2 for the Citizens Academy, a 10-week course that teaches participants about the county’s criminal justice system.
It is presented by the Sheriff’s Department and covers law enforcement, the district attorney’s office and the Superior Court.
Speakers will discuss topics ranging from cold-case homicide to narcotics and Internet crimes.
Classes start Sept. 9 and run Tuesday or Wednesday nights through Nov. 12.
