Sign up for 101 Cruise

Registration is still being accepted for the Highway 101 Association’s annual Beach’n 101 Cruise on Sept. 27.

The cruise begins in Oceanside, travels along the coast to La Jolla and ends at the Del Mar Racetrack, where prizes will be awarded and people can walk around and see the variety of cars entered. Prizes are in 10 categories, including “Cruisers Gidget Would Love” and “Best Cruiser for Dick Dale to Play In,” as well as a range of more traditional events.

The Highway 101 Association was formed to educate the public about the historic Highway 101 and its role in San Diego County’s development as well as to preserve the route, bridges and commercial archeology on the 101.

Preregistration is encouraged, but people can still sign up on the day of the cruise. Go to
