Volunteers are still needed to help with the “Community Build” from April 30 through May 1 at Kellogg Park.
Mary Coakley, who’s heading up the effort to replace the playground equipment at the La Jolla Shores park removed by the city a year ago, said they’re looking for anyone 15 or older who wants to help. Hours will be from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. Thursday and Friday and 8 a. m. to 4 p.m. Saturday. Work will be done in four-hour shifts, with lunch and snacks provided and a raffle for volunteers each day.
