The viewing will run from 4:30 to 7 p.m., with rosary at 6 p.m. The funeral service will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Mary, Star of the Sea.
Rudolph died May 27 at age 79. Part of the community for half a century, Rudolph will be remembered for his love of family, La Jolla and baseball.
Born and raised in Brooklyn, New York, Rudolph developed his passion for America’s favorite pastime as a youngster when he began working as a batboy for the Brooklyn Dodgers. After marrying, a union that lasted 52 years, he and his wife moved to San Diego in 1959. Upon discovering the sleepy village of La Jolla, the couple knew they had found the ideal place to make their home.
