Seniors Computer Group hosts Word program

The Seniors Computer Group of San Diego will celebrate the 27th anniversary of its founding Oct. 29 at Wesley Palms, 2404 Loring St., where the group meets every Saturday morning from 9:30 a.m. until noon.

The meeting will include a special presentation on how to get the most out of Microsoft Word software. There also will be refreshments and prizes for those attending.

For the past 27 years, SCG has been following its motto of “Seniors Helping Seniors” to learn more about what the computer can do to enhance their lives. A question-and- answer session is the highlight of each meeting, and members also make presentations on what they have learned or recently installed on their computers.

Dues were $1 a month when the group first got together 27 years ago, and still remain $1 a month. Visitors are welcome at no charge.
