Seals, elections on La Jolla planning group agenda for Thursday
The La Jolla Community Planning Association (LJCPA) will hear brief presentations from interested parties on future use of the Children’s Pool at 6:30 p.m. at the group’s monthly meeting tonight at La Jolla Rec Center, 615 Prospect St.
The meeting will also include the group’s annual elections.
LJCPA president Joe LaCava said the item was put on the March agenda as a prelude to the issue of harbor seals at Children’s Pool being heard by the City Council’s Natural Resources and Culture Committee on March 17.
“We wanted to have at least one meeting in the community before (that meeting) to give people some idea as to what’s going to be talked about, so they can be better informed if they choose to go down to Natural Resources to be an advocate for one particular use of the pool or another,” said LaCava.
