SeaLions plan soccer skills benefit clinic for Sunday
The San Diego SeaLions (WPSL) announced they will host a youth soccer skills clinic along with the University of San Diegofrom 9:30 a.m. to 11:15 a.m. on Sunday at USD’s lower “Valley” field.
Boys and girls ages U8-U18 are invited to participate. The cost is $25, with all proceeds going to benefit Kick for Hope.
The clinic will be run by USD Women’s Soccer Head Coach, Ada Greenwood, and several players from the San Diego SeaLions. All participants will receive a free ticket voucher redeemable at any 2010 SeaLion home game.
“We’re very excited about the opportunity to host this clinic,” said SeaLion General Manager Amie Becker. “We’ve supported Kick for Hope since its inception, and will continue to do so for many years to come. USD has amazing facilities, and Coach Greenwood has an outstanding reputation and has built a remarkable women’s program for the Torero’s. We are truly honored to work alongside him.”
Players and families who register online at www.kickforhope.org for the clinic will have the option to buy advance tickets to the U.S. Women’s National Team match against Mexico that will take place at 2 p.m. that same day at USD’s Torero Stadium. The option to purchase tickets to the match ends March 25. Free parking will be available on the USD campus in the main parking structure.
