Scripps Clinic ranks high

Scripps Clinic and Scripps Coastal Medical Center physicians received the highest marks from San Diego patients, according to a report from the California Cooperative Healthcare Reporting Initiative (CCHRI). The medical groups ranked No. 1 and 2 in the San Diego region for overall rating of all health care, including rating of primary care physicians and doctor-patient interactions.

The scores are based on results of the annual Patient Assessment Survey, which asks people about the care and service they received from their health care provider.

The CCHRI is a statewide collaborative of health plans, provider organizations and purchasers that conducts an annual survey to assess commercial HMO (health maintenance organization) and POS (point of service) patient experiences with the care delivered by their medical groups.
