Boy Scout Mark Traganza of Troop 271 talks with Park Ranger Janice LaValle and University City Community Association President Andy Freeburn while his proud father Bill Traganza looks on. For the service project required to attain Eagle Scout rank, Mark led the rebuilding of a wooden bridge across a drainage ditch between Rose Canyon and Marion Bear parks, working with a team of 24 Scouts and 11 adults. The marked its completion on Oct. 18.
