Sanders lobbies Washington for border improvements
San Diego Mayor Jerry Sanders is in Washington, D.C. on Wednesday, lobbying federal officials for the second consecutive day on a number of regional issues, including efficiency improvements at the San Ysidro Port of Entry.
Sander is also discussing housing, job creation and transportation issues.
The mayor is meeting with officials from the White House Office of Urban Policy, Economic Development Administration, Department of Housing and Urban Development, Department of Transportation and General Services Administration.
He is scheduled to return to San Diego Wednesday night.
