San Diego woman appointed to Calif. Superior Court

An assistant chief with the San Diego County District Attorney’s Office was appointed Thursday to the Superior Court bench by Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger.

Kimberlee Lagotta of San Diego fills the vacancy left by the retirement of Judge Timothy Tower.

The 45-year-old Republican has been chief of the family protection division of the District Attorney’s Office since 2007. Prior to that, she was assistant chief of the office’s North County division and a felony trial attorney.
