Samsung World Championship tees off in La Jolla Wednesday with Pro-Am
The 2009 Samsung World Championship opens Wednesday at Torrey Pines South Course with the Pro-Am competition teeing off at 9 a.m.
Paula Creamer goes off the first tee at 9 a.m. while Na Yeon Choi starts at the same time at the 10th tee. They’ll be followed in 10-minute groups by Song-Hee Kim and Lindsey Wright (Tees 1/10), Angela Stanford and Lorena Ochoa, Juli Inkster and Jiyai Shin, In-Kyung Kim and Catriona Matthew, Yani Tseng and Suzann Petterson, Eun-Hee Ji and Britttany Lincicome, Cristie Kerr and Karrie Webb, Sopia Gustafson and Kristy McPherson and Ai Miyazato and Anna Nordqvist.
They’ll move to main competition on Thursday in the end-of-the-season tournament featuring 20 of the best women golfers in the world -- including the last four LPGA major winners, the top name on the money list and last year’s Samsung World Championship winner. Final rounds will be played on Sunday
