SAIC gets $500 million contract for Navy work in San Diego
The Navy awarded a contract worth about $500 million to Science Applications International Corp., and executives said most of the work would be done in San Diego.
The contract is for managing computer and electronics systems of warships and submarines, according to SAIC.
SAIC was based in San Diego until last year, when its corporate headquarters moved to McLean, Va. About 3,900 employees remain in San Diego.
