Rockwell named to REBA post
For more than 30 years, Willis Allen Real Estate agent Karen Rockwell, a longtime member of REBA — the La Jolla Real Estate Brokers Association — is taking on the honorary position of association president.
“This is one of the few times a woman has been elected to this respected position,” she said.
REBA was founded in 1924 when 20 real estate brokers gathered and signed the REBA constitution. What started as a weekly breakfast meeting accompanied by discussion of the brokers’ new properties they had listed quickly turned into the Broker Caravan, which tours all the new listings in La Jolla every Wednesday and places them in the Valet MLS system.
