Registrar’s office open for weekend voting

Share

All you registered voters, it’s time to fill in those bubbles if you’re a mail voter and if you’re heading for the polls Tuesday, here are some helpful hints:

The Registrar of Voters Office is open from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday and Sunday if you want to vote early. There’s also a drive-through line for those wanting to drop off mail ballots.

On Tuesday, polls are open from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m. on Election Day. If you can’t find the sample ballot that has your precinct address on it, you can call the Registrar of Voters at (858) 565-5800 or go online to

www.sdvote.com

and click on Polling Place Locator.

If you are voting by mail, your ballot is due in the registrar’s office by 8 p.m. on Tuesday - not postmarked on Tuesday. You can also drop a mail ballot off at a polling place, but you’ll have to stand in line and have a poll worker check for your signature.
