Partnerships With Industry, a nonprofit that provides vocational services for adults with developmental and other disabilities through partnerships with local employers, held its Spring Celebration on May 14 at the historic Muirlands home of Elizabeth and Joseph Taft. The event honored the organization’s key donors.

The original home, built in 1941, was once owned by newspaper publisher James S. Copley and features expansive ocean views. The Tafts bought the home in 2000 and restored it. It was featured on the La Jolla Historical Society 2007 Secret Garden Tour and was recently showcased in Renovation Style magazine.

The event featured a cocktail reception as well as entertainment by flamenco and classical guitarist Oscar Aragon.
