Physician named ‘Outstanding Clinician’

Timothy Morris, M.D., of UCSD’s Hillcrest Medical Center, was named Outstanding Clinician of 2008 by the California Thoracic Society.

The clinical service chief for pulmonary and critical care medicine, he was selected for the honor for his dedication and quality of care to patients.

Under his guidance, the UCSD Medical Center team has received national recognition, said Chief Medical Officer Angela Scioscia, M.D.

In 2008, the team was honored by US News & World Report in its “America’s Best Hospitals” issue.
