Local jewelry store robbery suspect sought for reward
San Diego County Crime Stoppers and the San Diego Police Robbery Unit are asking for assistance from the public in identifying a male suspect wanted for armed robbery.On January 27, 2009, at about 5 p.m., a Middle Eastern male entered the Jewelry Passion shop on Prospect Street, threatened the clerk with a handgun and stole about 20 rings from the shop.
The suspect is a Middle Eastern male in his late 30s to early 40s and 185 to 190 lbs. He has short, light brown hair and no facial hair. He was wearing a blue Chargers cap with a yellow bolt on the front, a khaki colored, button down shirt, blue jeans, black leather shoes and a stainless steel watch. The suspect was armed with a black semi-automatic handgun. The suspect left on foot.
