Party in Kellogg Park

On Sept. 10, several hundred people showed up for a ribbon-cutting ceremony to celebrate the completion of the Kellogg Park Playground. Children were treated to cupcake decorating with assistance from CUPS, the new shop owned by Michelle Lerach opening soon on Girard Avenue, and music by Hullabaloo and DJ Todd Murphy and face painting. There was also food from Osteria Romantica, Piatti’s, Cheese Shop, Yogurt Escape, Wahoo’s, Sushi Mori, Starbucks, Papalulu’s, La Jolla Shores Hotel & Restaurant and Ocean Girl’s Whale Tail Chips. Former television meteorologist Loren Nancarrow emceed the event.
