Pacella named plastic surgery chief

Salvatore Pacella, M.D., M.B.A., was recently named chief of plastic surgery at Scripps Clinic & Research Institute and Scripps Green Hospital in La Jolla.

He also volunteers his services as a plastic surgeon with Fresh Start, where he has given 20 “surgery weekends and his surgical expertise has transformed the lives of countless children,” according to a press release from the nonprofit.

He also recently was inducted into the American College of Surgeons, the youngest surgeon to achieve the recognition.
