One injured in robbery at Loghman’s Jewelers

One person was injured today when a tall man in jeans robbed a La Jolla jewelry store, authorities reported.

The heist at Loghman Jewelers on Girard Avenue was reported about 2:45 p.m., according to San Diego police.

Someone at the shop, possibly a clerk, suffered a facial gash during the robbery, SDPD Detective Gary Hassen said. It was unclear how the injury occurred, he said.

The bandit was described as a roughly 6-foot-tall man in his early to mid-30s, wearing a white shirt and denim pants. He did not display a weapon, according Hassen.

It was unclear if the robber stole jewelry or cash, or both, the detective said.
