One Fish, Two Fish: A reminder of World Oceans Day
The Cat in the Hat, played by La Jollan Todd Wirths, lends a hand as paddlers head for the floating reading room that was part of World Oceans Day. Stand-up paddlers, surfers and paddleboarders marked the event Saturday at La Jolla Shores with a reading of Dr. Seuss’s ‘One Fish, Two Fish, Red Fish, Blue Fish.’ The event also honored the late La Jolla author, Theodor Geisel, and the 50th anniversary of the book’s publication. Surf Diva hosted the Shores event, one of several readings held in the region to focus attention on protecting the oceans and the role the ocean plays in everyone’s lives.
