On the Menu Recipe: Alfonso’s of La Jolla’s Carne Asada & Camaron Combo

Ingredients:

• 8 ounces carne asada

• 2 pinches of salt

• 2 pinches of pepper

• Pinch of paprika

• Pinch of oregano

• 1 lemon

• 1 ounce beer

• 8 pieces shrimp

• 3 pieces fresh garlic

• Spoonful of butter

Carne asada:

Marinate 8 ounces of carne asada for 24 hours, using a pinch each of salt and pepper, paprika, oregano, a squeeze of lemon and beer. Cook to preference.

Camaron:

Clean the shrimp and split each piece about halfway. In a pan, add butter, garlic, and a pinch each of salt and pepper. Sautee the shrimp about 3-4 minutes on each side.

Serve with beans and rice. Squeeze lemon over the shrimp.
