Ocean workshop planned
“Small Sea Changes: Big California Impacts,” a workshop presented by the Interagency Working Group on Ocean Observations, will be held May 25 at Scripps Institution of Oceanography in La Jolla.
The interactive, free workshop will address how industries and governments can better predict broad impacts of climate change, mitigate ocean and coastal hazards, and improve weather forecasts.
The event is co-sponsored and organized by the Consortium for Ocean Leadership, Southern California Coastal Ocean Observing System, Central and Northern California Ocean Observing System, Marine Technology Society, SAIC and Fugro. It will feature several key speakers in the morning, with an interactive discussion period taking place in the afternoon.
