Musicians sing about autism

The nonprofit SingSOS! released an album of original songs about autism by a mix of established artists including Jackson Browne, Dar Williams, Marshall Crenshaw and Jonathan Brooke. On the album and at the Web site, there is also information about autism in free downloadable form, including excerpts from books by leading experts.

The album can be downloaded at www.singsos.org for a $15 donation or ordered as a CD for $20. Proceeds will benefit Autism Speaks, the Autism Society, Easter Seals, and the San Diego nonprofit, Banding Together, which provides music therapy scholarships and mentorships (www.bandingtogethersd.org).
