Muirlands students shine in national test

Sixty Muirlands Middle School sixth-graders participated in the 20th annual National Mythology Exam, which tests knowledge of Greek and Roman classic myths as well as Book Nine of Homer’s “The Odyssey.” These are students in the Seminar program, taught by Susan Minnicks. More than 10,000 students across the U.S., Canada and Australia take the test, and internationally 41 percent earned medals; at Muirlands, 97 percent of the students who participated earned medals. They are:
