Muirlands Middle School students were part of a statewide attempt to break the Guinness World Record for the ‘Most People Jumping/Skipping Rope at the Same Time’ on Monday morning. Organized by Jamba Juice and the California Association for Health, Physical Education, Recreation and Dance, the event marked the start of American Heart Month. Students at 2,000 sites across the state participated, with about 83,000 expected to jump rope for 10 minutes straight in the attempt to break the current Australian record of 59,000 skippers.
