Muirlands band garners awards

Muirlands Middle School’s band and orchestra recently returned from Disneyland’s Music in the Parks festival with three awards: third place for band, strings and guitar. The annual event, held for the last 50 years, gives the students an opportunity to show off their hard work, talent and dedication and to see how other schools across the U.S. are developing their musical proficiency. Ted Foster is Muirlands’ instrumental music director.
