Moped rider, car collide on Torrey Pines Road

A moped rider sustained only minor injuries Wednesday in a crash on Torrey Pines Road, according to police.

Spokesman Monica Munoz said the call came in at 5:56 p.m. from a witness who reported the rider was driving on the shoulder and ran a red light before colliding with a car.

No one in the car hurt was hurt, she added.
