Mishler takes over as archivist
Mike Mishler has moved from volunteer to employee at the La Jolla Historical Society, taking on the job as archivist and curator.
He helped develop the “By the Beautiful Sea” exhibit, which he said inspired him to want to create other exhibits from the society’s extensive collection.
He is a native San Diegan who graduated from San Diego State University with a degree in history. He’s currently working on a graduate degree in library and information sciences through San Jose State University.
He interned with the San Diego Historical Society and volunteered with the Scripps Institution of Oceanography.
He replaces Heather Kuhn who left to focus on her graduate degree.
