La Jolla Town Council will host a “Sunsetter” - a reincarnation of La Jolla Town Council’s “Sundowners” which were stopped about two years ago - from 5 to 7 p.m. Sept. 17 at Burgundy.
“Although the main goal of the event is for merchants and others to meet and make connections with La Jolla leaders, anything can be discussed, with a focus on La Jolla events,” said John Weinstein, event coordinator. The buzz of the event likely will relate to issues and controversies about La Jolla, he added.
La Jolla Town Council trustees will attend, as well as people from Councilwoman Sheri Lightner’s office.
The cost is $5 for La Jolla Town Council members, $10 for non-members, and free for new members that sign up and pay at the event. There will be complimentary drinks and hors d’oeuvres, along with specialty drink items.
Weinstein said there will also be a “Business Promo Table,” where brochures, discount coupons, fliers and business cards will be available. There is also a free raffle at the event, including items from local businesses and others.
